REGISTRATION OF FOREIGNERS
I- Legal Requirements
Registration is not required on visas valid less than 180 days, unless specifically directed on the Visa.
For PIO Card holders, registration is required within 30 days after expiry of 180 days stay .
Registration is required within 14 days of arrival, on visas valid more than 180 days .
Registration is required within 14 days for Indians acquiring citizenship of other countries.
Registration is required within 7 days of arrival of Bangla and Afghan Nationals.
Registration is required within 24 Hours of arrival of Pakistan Nationals.
Foreigners leaving the registered address beyond 8 weeks should intimate the FRO before leaving.
Foreigners intending to stay in the juridiction of another FRO beyond 8 weeks, should intimate the FRO concerned.

Receipt for having paid penal fee of US $ 30 for belated registration ( To be remitted to State Bank of Mysore, Main Branch, Mysore City, in India Currency) Wherever applicable
